"Jay Overton did excellent video and audio work. His attention to detail along with his expertise using applicable software made the projects he worked on very professional. He was constantly trying to improve his video and audio editing techniques to render the highest quality results. While gathering requirements, Jay asked the correct questions to ensure he understood what the final product would be and then selected the appropriate equipment to capture the essence of the requirements. Jay made the work fun!"
- Hector Solis, Manager System Analysis at Pearson, Inc.
"...[Jay] is someone that is dependable and knows how to get the job done. Jay’s love of videography and special eye for direction provided our projects with visually pleasing and very accurate videos that our customer used to train their own customers, of which we only heard positive feedback on the quality and usefulness of these presentations. Jay has been a powerful contributor to the company’s digital training processes."
- Imelda Martinez, Senior Statistical Analyst at Pearson, Inc.

Training videos
Show new employees or established employees the proper way to carry out a process or procedure within your business. A training video may be the best way to communicate the correct information, leaving nothing to question. Seeing the steps they need to follow, by someone who understands the process will have a more meaningful impression than a written list of steps. Video provides context for your employee to imagine themselves carrying out those tasks as they see them performed in the video.
Highlight the more important steps, obstacles, or harder to grasp elements of the process so they clearly understand the need for close attention. A one-and-done training video will save you time and money since you only have to answer follow-up questions. Don't have to conduct the same training session over and over. Let a training video do the heavy lifting, leaving your schedule free for other important tasks of running your business.
Explainer / Demonstration videos
Sometimes a reenactment or demonstration of a product's more interesting features conveys the value-added features in a way unlike any other. A clear how-to video can reveal the best qualities of your product or service. Avoid any "buyer's remorse" that may come from not understanding how to use a product, or from not clearly understanding you're services.
Overton Media Services will work with you to identify the details to be highlighted so that the customer sees the features and benefits to your product or service, paving the way to customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Staff Biographies
More effective customer relationships are made when the customer can place a face with the representative they have contact with on the phone or over an email chain. The connection seems more personal and real. The customer has a connection to the company they've spent their time and money with.
Providing a short and sweet video biography of your front line staff may be a nice first step into establishing that positive interaction with your customers. Remember Judy from those Time-Life commercials years ago? The image of a phone operator smiling and waiting for that customer phone call was a way to say, "We're here for you."
Let your customers see who might be there to help them after the sale. Even if you have an automated customer support system, a view of your staff working behind the scenes will convey the warmth that the automated system lacks.
Business History
How did your business come to be? Telling an interesting of how your business began, or how it overcame a few choice obstacles, can be inspiring to your customer base.
Share your mission statement, or your company's philosophy through video and allow your customers to understand what details matter to you. Sometimes it's these background details that best separate your business from your competitors. Your reason for doing business may make a potential customer decide to use your products or services, even when they are similar to others available in your area.
Add to the customer relationship by showing them why you are in business, and why you care about the customer's experience. Stand out from the crowd and show why your business is the better choice in the marketplace.
Social Media presence
Social media is huge. Reaching out to your customer base through FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter, or whatever is currently popular, is an ideal way to keep your brand, service, and company name in the front of the customer's mind.
This isn't a sales video. It's the perfect way to highlight the personal touch your employees want to continue with your customers. It's the human side to small business that you offer. Though the bottom line may be what's foremost in your mind, the customer wants to feel that you're on their side and one of them.
Social media shows the human side of business people, but with a specific approach that invites the customer (or potential customer) to see your business positively. Let Overton Media Services help you with video content you can share in your media outlet of choice.
Podcasting (audio only or video)
Podcasting is more popular than ever and continues to reach more people every day. Whether you need creating audio-only or video content, this media trend offers a personal touch to your customers. It will set you apart from your competitors, providing a personal touch as you present products, services, information, insights, tips and shortcuts, all with high quality audio or video you'll be proud of.
On location audio recording is easy and allows for quick turn-around time. Production settings can be most anywhere. We will help you organize, produce, and distribute your podcast. You just need the content, and we can help you generate ideas as well.
Stay on your customer's mind and in their ear. Let Overton Media Services produce your content so that you can reach out to your customers with value-added content.

Voice Over and Narration services
Jay Overton, our Production Specialist, has voiced hundreds of commercials on radio, television, the Internet, and in training and instructional videos.
Our professional audio digital equipment captures the colors of the voice, whether warm and gentle, bright and authoritative, or the quirkiness of a colorful character.
A "believable" voice brings the listener into a personal connection with the speaker. A call to action or invitation to try a product or service is acted on more readily when it's given by someone the listener feels a connection with.
Some business owners prefer to be the spokesperson for their own product or service. Many times it's easy to hear when the voice lacks experience or "know-how" to sound natural. Of course they're reading a script, but it shouldn't sound like it because it lacks the needed sound of sincerity. Overton Media Services can coach business owners to have a relaxed, conversational, "sincere" sound that works best for them.
Podcasting is a growing industry. People have topics of personal interest to share with the world, either as an expert or an observer. They don't always have the means to produce their "broadcast." In studio, or with our portable audio equipment, we can record and produce your program and help you share it through your favorite on-line directories.
"I worked with Jay on a recording project at Pearson for which he was the voice talent. Over the course of the project, I was consistently impressed with Jay's professionalism and talent. He was well prepared for each recording session, and he was responsive to notes and direction. In addition to doing the job well and producing clean, professional recordings, Jay also made each recording session a lot of fun. Jay is a pleasure to work with, and I recommend his audio/video production company without reservation."
- Frances Frey, Senior Research Analyst at Enrollment Research Associates (ERA).
"I’ve worked with Jay on a few different projects that benefited from his voice acting and sound editing. He’s a strong performer with a great voice for dynamic storytelling, but he can also deliver a good performance on expository texts and even pronunciation guides. He’s also great fun and efficient in his editing work."
- Thomas Witholt, Senior Clinical Assessment Developer at Pearson, Inc.
"Jay is the most talented and meticulous audio/video producer I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I worked with Jay to create a digital memory test that combined synced audio and visual stimuli. Jay provided solid voiceover work. Jay is a benefit for any project or company he works for, and he's that producer that shines above the rest. Plus, Jay is kind, friendly, has a great sense of humor, and is cool under pressure."
- Erik Gallemore, UX Designer at Mission Services LLC (MSI)
"[Jay] helped our team out with a research project that required voice over and audio editing and he did a stellar job under a very aggressive schedule.
Not only does he do good work, he's very personable, friendly, and down-to-earth. He's got a great balance between hard working and fun to work with. I would definitely recommend Jay for his voice over and audio/video talents."
- Lesa Neugent, Senior Project Manager at Pearson, Inc.
I worked with Jay for over 10 years and had the opportunity to utilize his skills in voice-over and audio production work during this time.
Jay does excellent work and is a consummate professional. His knowledge of audio production and voice-over techniques as well as his attention to detail deliver high-quality results every time. I was blown away by the work he did for us in this area and would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.
