Jay Overton is the owner and Media Production Specialist at Overton Media Services.  He's  been using his talents since he was a kid, in theater and media projects of various kinds - plays, radio and television commercials, museum exhibit narrations, and more.

Audio and video production has been a passion for Jay since his days at Murray State University, Murray, KY, (Bachelor of Science, Audio Video Production).  "Today's technology is very exciting, providing the means to create worlds within the imagination... far easier than ever before."  Jay continues to learn all he can as technology and trends develop.

For nine years Jay was the National Tour Director and primary professional storyteller for the storytelling troupe  based out of the National Scouting Museum (Murray, KY).  During that time he performed for over 500,000 people throughout the South and Midwestern U.S., and in Europe.  Jay performed in schools, summer camps, civic club meetings, church gatherings, scouting events, and festivals sharing a wide variety of stories with an enthusiasm and style that drew the audience into each tale.  It was the perfect playground for exploring various ways to use voice to bring characters to life, touching the imaginations of each listener.

In 2000 Jay received a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.  He has taught classes in Acting at UW-Madison, The University of the Incarnate Word, and at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX and also coaches local actors to find new depths and nuances to their roles.

Trained as a Certified Legal Video Specialist (CLVS) through the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA), Jay works with court reporters, paralegals, and attorneys to capture testimony for expert litigation.  He is also a Texas Notary Public.
